Leadership based on over 25 years relevant experience advising at C-level

The C-Suite Catalysts comprise of a small highly experienced and qualified cadre of Associate Partners & Consultants, and CXO Associates. 

The firm is led by its founder Roger Jones.  He understands the mind, the world and the drivers for success in the C-suite. 

Relevant global experience: Roger is an accomplished leader with over 30 years experience, the majority of which has been spent interacting in the C-suite.  He has a strong cultural awareness and international orientation having conducted business in over 40 countries and lived in four countries.

His first professional job was working as an oil exploration geologist mainly in Wast Africa where he gained early insights in building relationships with Government ministers in Guinea Bissau and Gabon.  In his late 20’s he transitioned into business after gaining an MBA degree and held positions to global VP in the travel, professional services, banking and technology sectors, including selling high-value products and services to the C-suite.  He also directed global strategic account activity valued at over $500M.  Since 2001 he has been an advisor, coach and consultant to chief executives, leaders, top teams and organisations wanting to up-their-game.

Roger has worked with numerous senior professional teams in leading professional service, financial services and technology firms who have wanted to transform their influence and commercial impact at the most senior levels in their client organisations.

In additional he has acted as the coach and sounding-board to chief executives and their leadership teams in national, trans-national and global multinationals in Europe, Asia, Australasia and the USA.

Academic credentials: Roger has an INSEAD Masters degree in Consulting & Coaching for Change (clinical organisational psychology), MBA from Cranfield School of Management (where he received one of only five annual student awards) and BSc (Hons) and Masters degrees in science subjects. 

Recognised thought leader: His articles have been published by the Harvard Business Review and INSEAD Knowledge. The BBC, CFO Magazine, Financial Times, Forbes, The Sunday Times and The Wall Street Journal have featured his work.

A best selling international business author, his first book was the Key Account Manager’s Pocketbook that has today sold over 40,000 copies.  His Storytelling Pocketbook guides readers in how to use the narrative to engage, persuade and inspire.

Roger lives in London, UK and works worldwide.  He's married with a 9-year-old daughter.  His interests include being with his family, playing squash, cartooning and travel.

Examples of our work include:

Case example 1: Global professional services firms, one of the top 5 worldwide within its sector, wanted to maintain and grow its position.  They wanted to increase their partners ability to have impact and influence in their clients boardrooms.  After the success of the pilot programme in which we employed realistic simulations of client meetings, it was rolled out to all their partners in Europe and the USA.  Client comments included this being the most effective development they had experienced that generated a recognisable ROI.

Case example 2: The partners in this fast growth boutique financial services focused firm were excellent technical leaders of their specialist areas but “lacked the clout” to generate significant revenue from existing and new clients.  There was an over-reliance on the two founders to generate business.  Our programme built the influencing capabilities and confidence of all partners, resulting in a 40% increase in revenue in the following 12 months.

Case example 3: When speaking with the leaders of this multinational B-2-B firm their main concern was that their senior executives lacked the presence and impact in their clients C-suite.  This, it was felt was affecting their ability to grow revenue.  A customised programme was developed that aligned with their multi-cultural growth-focused environment.  The programme was so well received we rolled it out across the UK, and to Germany, the Nordics, France, Italy and the USA.  In addition it was delivered at several in-company conferences. Many experienced leaders who attended the programme commented that they wished they had participated in such a session early in their career and one senior executive credited the programme for enabling him to with a $75M contract. 

Case example 4: Global services firm wanted to gain a negotiating edge.  It was acknowledged that their weak spot was reading people and clicking into the communication skills of others’. A customised programme was developed the proved so popular it was delivered over 25 times, including in a keynote format to their international partner conference in the USA, and became part of their negotiating curriculum.
